Research Principles
Every experiment at Quinn Labs must meet all eight. If it can't, we don't start it.
01
Solve a meaningful problem.
Something a real person or organisation actually struggles with.
02
Improve understanding.
The result should leave us knowing something we didn't.
03
Remain evidence-based.
Measured, not asserted. If we can't measure it, we say so.
04
Respect people.
No surveillance, no scoring individuals, no dark patterns.
05
Respect the environment.
The experiment shouldn't cost more than the problem.
06
Teach something.
Including — especially — when it doesn't work.
07
Remain open-minded.
The answer may be that we were asking the wrong question.
08
Stay practical.
It has to be buildable by someone, somewhere, eventually.
Nothing here is ever labelled a failure. Only Not Yet.
